Mrgreenjeans, Ebb and flow grow!

I've never heard of this before. Do you do this every time?

 

I always do it one week before I flip the lights to 12/12. After a week the plants are growing strong again and because of the lack of leaves the exposed bud sits seem to get larger. I continue to remove new fan leaves that cover bud sites during the first 2 weeks of flower.


I remove all lower sites and feed with veg nutes for the first two weeks of 12/12 then swith to Flowering formula.

 

Hmm. Sounds weird, but I've seen the results from last time. My plants are about to look like that, if i don't get my issue fixed:icon_confused:

 

Looks like the deer, rabbits or maybe a groundhog got to them. Like the last green beans I tried to grow, the damn animals ate more than we did.


So that's the norm? Must work. I'll have to give that a shot on a couple. If it doesn't work I'm gonna be real pissed.:kidding:


Do you think the veg nutes maybe help them to recover. I just put 4 in flower in a 2 X 2 table 3 days ago. Guess you never know till you try!!

When you start the flowering nutes what week do you mix up?


Also it looks like you really went to town on them this time.

 

I've been stripping plants now for a while.


I first get the plants to the size and shape I'm looking for.


Then the week before I switch the lights to 12/12 I strip all fan leaves off and remove any unwanted lower sites.


One week later I switch the lights to 12/12 cycle. I continue to feed veg nutes for anther two weeks. During the first two weeks of flower I continue to remove new fan leaves that cover buds. I leave the smaller leaves alone.


After 2 weeks of flower I switch to flowering formula infill flush time.


That,s how I do things.( Kiss. ) Keep it simple stupid.

 

Exactly how i feed for transition. How stable is the canna I'm your setup? You have to mess with pH at all? The aqua has been pretty stable in dwc. I have yet to set or adjust pH at all. just fill mix and let it do it's thing.

 

Skunky, I adjust the PH once a week, and when I do a res change a week later it's still good. I use the canna products. I always use 1 to 3 milliliter's less per gallon than they say to use and have fantastic results.:thumbsup: Plus it last longer.

 

Nice! Yeah so with the aqua line I haven't even adjusted initially. Last res change is at two weeks, doing nothing. LOL changing today kinda interested to see what it is now.

 

Seriously though, most peeps mix their nutes stronger then needed. If your tips are getting brown during veg then cut back and your plants will thank.


It will also cause your PH to swing back and forth. From the looks of your plants skunky and the sound of things you have them dialed in.


I love the Aqua Vega A and B formula, works great with the table.:redbong:

I would have never pictured that much in a week, man. When you think you've seen it all!! But seeing is believing. Everything fresh, green and healthy as can be. Good job MrG.

Nice! That definitely opens the girls up. Love it. For end of week pH was the same week one and two, 6.4.

 

You know what tho? For all that work you got what...a weeks worth of direct light to lower buds? Now the new fans covered them up again, and the plants used all that energy building new fans instead of building roots or thick stems or even buds if you weeks into flower by now.


Just the first thought that popped up. I have done the strip down, seen the same recovery and had that thought about my own tables, while gobbling Advil from my aching back...

 

I understand what you mean FF, but the roots continue to grow some.


The plants do get taller a little. The best reason for me is it allows me to remove all lower shoots and such that wont get light anyway. I'm basically identifying all the main bud shoots so they get larger. It also makes for faster harvesting in the end.


At the moment I'm feeding Canna Aqua Vega A+B formula at 7 milliliters per gallon. I'm also adding Botanicares Cal Mag at 3 milliliter's per gallon.

 

Very impressive, love how proper and clean it looks. Like they sell your whole set up in the store as a package item all in one or something it looks that perfect, very nice. Would be like IKEA for grow rooms lol

 

I can't argue with results and your tables look damn near perfect so....
