There's some serious trichome development on those buds. Big difference from bag seed, wouldn't you say? Keep up the good growing.

Ok, ok... here's the deal. i was running my new 400w metal halide and promptly after the grow began, the f*ckin thing blew up- ballast AND bulb! i was infuriated, and the asshole i bought it from on ebay wouldn't make it right by replacing it, so i ended up back to the cfl's... this grow is ending under 4- 300w cfl's and 2-150w cfls, plus reflective mylar.

So, with the cat outta the bag so to speak, how do you guys think they've turned out so far??? Still about 2-3 weeks left to go...

***(Had the metal halide goin up into the first week of flowering. and cfl's took over after that almost fire in my grow room...)

LM - Have you seen AverageJoe's HTG ballast failure? His almost burnt his house down. Sounds like you had a similar experience. :(

I'm just wondering if your was an HTG?

Your buds looks excellent. Very nice and symmetrical.

I think they look very nice and I wouldn't have anything bad to say about them. I use exclusively Flouro's for my vegging area. I love the consistent growth thay give.:ebert:

Between the Koday and the CFL's, you look to have some very nice calender entries. ;) :ebert:

    Great job, LukesMommy!

    Thanks so much Rky!

No, i haven't seen the thread about AJ's HTG... i gotta go check to see, i can't remember the brand, but i will letcha know. All i know is if i hadn't been in the grow area when the thing f'n exploded into flames (pretty much what happened) it probably, more likely then not, burned the house down. Not cool. So i've learned my lesson there and am honestly satisfied with my cfl's. i also have no plans to replace the ballast, hood, or hps bulbs...

Thanks again Rky, you made me feel a lot better, especially about my growing abilities! ;)

    Peace

    trichome question

    Hey guys!

Was just tendin to the ladies and checkin trichs again, and the skinny girl... i just can not see them well enough to determine when to expect to harvest her... the trichs on this plant are SOOOOO freakin tiny!

Any other suggestions? This is the one in question:

See how tiny they are, esp as compared to the others? Res said something earlier in the thread that this type of mj may not have a lot of trich developement, but my pack a powerful punch nontheless... i think due to the oils?

Oh well, any suggestions are appreciated! Oh, and i'll be updating grow tre's thread later today hopefully!

    Peace

Not only that but that plant looks Sativa and still has a lot of pistal action in it I am betting it will get a lot better.

The Millennium I grow is sort of like that. It has super small trichs and it wasn't as covered as other strains I've grown.

From the looks of the leaves, it's at least a partial sativa and would require a longer flowering time. Maybe, I'm wrong, but it sure looks that way.

Do you know how long it's been flowering and how long it was supposed to flower? Those are aren't set in stone time frames, but they can give you a real good idea.

Before I had an microscope I used to just harvest when about 70% of the hairs turned red/orange. I was usually real close to the actual harvest time.

but, like Chriscrete said, go to Radio Shack and get yourself one and you'll never want again . . . well, maybe thats an overstatement.

good luck and thanks for the :cool-pix:

Thanks Rky, Teamster, and Chriscrete! :potleaf-3:

She is a sativa dominant strain- Sannie's Cheeseberry Haze F3 with a 10 week flowering period. She's in week 8 right now, and was also one of the "troubled" plants from the get go. I finally had to stake her b/c she's so top heavy, she was literally falling over! I figured at LEAST 2 more weeks for her, maybe longer?

The other ladies are into week 9 of flower and rounding the curve as we speak! I started flushing them a couple days ago... so we shall see!

But thanks again for the advice... i do have a loupe (I'm a photographer... so i have like a million of em layin around) and even so, you really can't see if they're cloudy or anything. Guess i'm getting excited and impatient, as usual!!! lol...

    Peace
