im betting on the fact that co2 has a density of 1.98 kg/m3 and that ethylene is 1.18 kg/m3 and that air is 1.225 kg/m3 at 59 farenheit and at my goal of 85-90 it should rise to the top. i will have a 50 cfm vent fan mounted on the ceiling of the box on the side opposite than the puller fan and cut a hole 5" in diameter on the wall the same side as the ceiling fan is on but opposite the puller fan. basically im reducing negative pressure with the hole close to the ceiling fan so that when its running it wont create leaks down towards the bottom where the co2 is.

Still confused as to why? For what gain? If you're already supplementing CO2 and have proper circulation there should be no pooling. If you remove circulation to effect pooling for scavenging you risk bud rot and other fungi while under utilizing the present CO2 by not having a constant high ppm saturation mixing through the plants. Your highest ppm saturation will then be at the floor of the grow space, not at plant level where you want it.

How much CO2 are we saving by recirculating and scavenging versus simply exhausting the room several times a day?

It's a cool experiment, just having trouble figuring how somebody could put it to real world use.

yeah im not sure its goign to work either but im going to try. basically im recirculating co2 from a puller fan slightly above the canopy so that the co2 is being pulled through the leaves and leaving the bottom 75% of the room sealed while the top ceiling has a fan mounted to extract hot air and ethylene. im hoping the co2 wont rise out of the top fan because of its density and heat and ethylene will vent . there will be a small hole nest to the ceiling fan to reduce negative pressure and pull colder air through the top 25% of the box so that it wont create leaks at the bottom 75%. im hoping this will move co2 through the room and have a benefits of a sealed room while the advantages of a grow room with exhaust. also im looking to eliminate the need for a dehumidifier and ac unit in the grow room saving electricity and initial cost for both units. i know 900 grams of silica gel is around 5$ and having a cylinder filled with it will yield 40% adsorption of its weight removing 40% of the water in the planter each day. if i use 1 gallon to water my plant and 1 gallon equals around 8 pounds il have to replace the cylinder with silica once a day and replace with another 900 grams of silica per day. if it isnt enough to keep rh in the 50-60% range i can buy 10$ worth and use 1800 grams and alternate each day.
