No new website is going to handle that amount of traffic when it starts up. I do believe this thread is just hate on the government for being the government without even seeing if this thing works. It isn't even fully implemented yet.
Actually what about google amazon ebay....all built at a fraction of the cost....they said evem this will work once the recoding...that dowsnt bother you...600 billion for something that doesn't work
Google grew from a project in 96 to what it is today. It didn't have that many hits in one day, and neither did any of the others mentioned. And the website MAYBE cost a hundred million. And that is including the salaries and contracts that were made before the website was to be created.
It doesn't fucking work...I don't care if it's 1 million...But the price tag I saw was $400=M just to private contractors plus the feds that worked on it. And now it sets a ACA has gotten a fraction of the hits these other sites do in a given day, a fraction and cost 100xs more even in todays dollars That's why Obama even said it has problems....cause it does. Even like everyone says, if they don't get young healthy people in the first 2 years the program is over....won't work, cant save it. What we had before didn't work. Why does everybody seem to forget that before the health care reform we are experiencing, we ALL agreed the system sucks and has to be changed. Well, now we are changing it. I'd like to help make the change a good one, not a bad one. I just don't know how. But I know that ANYTHING other than what we had will be better.
Well I have not gone to the website. I do like the idea of differant companys offering insurance. Out here Blue Cross set up a monopoly years ago and there prices are sky high. They even cohersed various clinics doctors ect to only take blue cross insurance. It has been a real joke. I hope now it gets pounded in there ass as I was reading that one of the biggest oponents of obamacare was Blue cross of Idaho. NO wonder!! t6
I was happy with my health care before obama care .Here is my worry if I get laid off work which I do in the winter how am I going to pay $1200 a month for health care & feed my family with unempolyments $1600 a month. -Bud
The affordable care act hasn't had time to affect the market like that yet. It isn't fully implemented. "Before Obamacare" was a couple weeks ago.
