folks, forgot to snap Walmart pics-next time. Well, putting the plants out early to find the males worked! Found about 6 so far. That makes probably 10-12 females total which is what I was hoping for. Corn, tomatoes and everything else is coming up nicely so it's about time to get these girls into their final homes. I'll get a pic up when they're inground.
opcorn-2: I think im gonna take some big bong rips and watch the latest people of walmart vid. Cant wait to see your outdoor beauties in their full glory in a couple months or so. BTW you still working on your entertainment center cabinet? :bong-2::redbong:
Ya man I am, when I get a chance. Works been insane right now, shoot, I haven't been getting home till 8-10 each night. I made a few short vids that apprentice is working on getting up on the YouTube channel, it shows my hydro plant, my cab so far with clones vegging in it, and I took a trip around the yard showing the girls still in their pots where they're stashed. Dude I'm getting paranoid! They're still in pots and some are 2+ feet tall and bushy as hell. I'm gonna be a nervous wreck till its harvest time. Then I'll probably go insane guarding the buds:roffl:
Ok I'm pissed, just spent the last 10 mins uploading and copy/paste some pics and a lil paragraph to my log here. About to paste the last pic-I had two browser screens open-and when I came back here the fucking page went blank and I lost everything I had pasted and wrote!! WTF, can any mods please explain this, this is not the first time either, this one really pissed me off though cause I made certain the pics were right side up! Gonna go smoke a lil and chill out cause I feel like bouncing this phone off the wall!Fuck it ill do it edit style, this is my fav so far 1' tall and BUSHY, from some beans just like these out of some schwag. /monthly_2013_05/image.jpg.d57997f97f95df95815da2a0d8f066ac.jpg
Check me out y'all!! Alright, what I'm gonna did is just make vids as they seem to come out correctly. I'll do a better quality next time. This was a trial run.
Lil, update. Got most of the girls planted in their final homes. Gonna start tomorrow on the shade cloth cover, I just gotta make it tall enough for me to walk under. I'll post some pics or a vid in the morning.
I do believe you're right midnight. This morning I gave a good watering and some gh 3part veg nutes. I got all the keepers planted, I have 2 suspected males I didn't plant and a couple others that I haven't planted yet.check it out
Why do you have a jug of R22 just laying on the ground? What do you plan on feeding those plants that are in the ground? My first time around I used the useless formula, second time I used tga subcool supersoil mix. I swear by the useless formula indoors but all I know is I got far better results using an organic soil mix outdoors. If you plan on using the useless formula make sure you give the plants a good, deep watering with plain water at least once a week. This will help keep the salt buildup from the nutes in check. Next issue you're likely to see is bugs. Try at all costs not to use chemical pesticides unless you absolutely have to. If you do use chemicals they have a tendency to kill the good bugs too. When that happens you are usually screwed. I use a concoction of water, garlic, hot pepper, tobacco and dish soap. It works pretty well.
Sweet, I hadn't heard of that concoction before but I like it. Oh , the r-22 jug is an empty I am gonna cut in half for an ashtray on my back porch, the handles make a decent base. I've only used the useless on them once before today, but the first set in the vid haven't had anything, just the soil mixture I made. I have some fish/seaweed emulsion left but in not sure how to feed with it. Do I just pour it around the base of them or dilute it first? I'm also going to pick up some ladybugs from HD to let loose, I usually use seven dust but I won't if I get the ladybugs. I've already noticed some fly type pests on my tomatoes.
I can't tell you how to use the fish emulsion as I have only used it once and that was inside. The smell of it made me never use it again. I would think that the smell of it outdoors is going to attract rodents and other critters. I purchase lady bugs and praying mantis cases about every two weeks to a month in the summer. They lady bugs will leave if there is nothing for them to eat. If you build a lady bug house (seriously) they are more apt to stay put in your yard. http://www.wikihow.com/Build-a-Ladybug-House
Haahahahahaha, I never would have believed you without the link! Thanks bro, I just might have to make one. I hear ya on the fish stink, the first bottle I got I didn't get to use cause my F'in bog ate it before I even opened it.
You've got some gigantic iron balls for growing that much outdoors in a non medical state. Good luck to you. I hope it turns out well.
Well, I've been weed whacking the fence line this morning and I can't see them from anywhere from where my neighbors can go, once the shades up I will be good from any Ariel vision as well. I feel almost safe. I won't be able to relax till I'm smokin it, but that's all part of it right
Do not use emulsions outdoors. Did it one season and lost pretty much everything to critters digging for food.
I was afraid of that, thanks dude. How about a "tea", I've seen a lot about it but have never tried it. Does it stink as well? And how often do you feed using some? for asking before looking but it just crossed my mind. Gonna go search some of the forums for it, I know I've seen a couple
Me thinks these will be monsters. The fan leaves are huge, they look way better than any plant I've ever grown! I think I'll stick with outdoors, it's more forgiving. /monthly_2013_05/image.jpg.e4f405847f085ee9419933d563d8994f.jpg
I also find outdoors to be much more forgiving. Those big fat ones look indica dominant to me. Those look very good so far man!
