Some folks have asked me where I got the link or instructions on how to build a RDWC system, this is by far the best picture wise and overall visually It disappeared for a while but i was able to find it again Sooooooooooo enjoy folks! http://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=26343 !!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh yeah, thanks. Damn you!! I finally get my very own sticky :coolbounce: and you come back with this? Again? :roffl: :roffl:
Right on bro. I used this too, along with your threads, to build my systems. One thing I noticed is he put his feed lines below the waterline in the control res. No real reason to do that that I can think of, and it creates another possible leak point.
Ive built 8-9 of these systems , from 4 pot to 12 pot and NEVER had any leaks, I do not use hose clamps either, use good thick hydrofarm brand 3/4 hose
I heard that.....I can justify spending certain chunks of cash on things that have other uses in the future but a chiller has 1 purpose for life, especially for the price ...I just cant get that into that aspect Im going to run this table and see what the deal is.....tables need NO chiller and never seem to have the issues that recirculating does and WAAAY less parts
I hear that, I'm also looking at tables atm. I'm currently doing a hempy grow so I can kind of get a handle on the nuances of hydro before I make the plunge. it's just forgien as hell to me that you can keep a plant alive when it is not in soil.
Thats 1 thing I never had any interest in, hempy....dunno why, just seems the same as soil, more hand watering.....and fuck that!
From my own experience, I suck at Hempy, but so far DWC has treated me very well. RDWC is about to get crackin' when my cold plants are done. My RDWC was basically done from memory from reading that link and I couldn't find it, so I did a post about mine and it was made a sticky.http://forum.growkind.com/showthread.php?p=503727#post503727 . It's in the DYI. No leaks but I did use hose clamps
When I pot my stuff up to five gallon buckets I am going to do five hempy and two dwc. I've never done either so this should be fun! I decided to do both to compare the two and see which one I get the best results with. I got two five gallon net pot lids this morning, now i just need to find my pump and air stones.
What about the undercurrent? I'm going to build one after I get back from Alaska next month. I wanted to see a store bought one in a real world app. The only revision that thread needs is larger feed line setup and a secondary drain up higher to set the overflow height. I like using the 1" tub adapters with the hard 3/4" pvc it usually doesn't leak pressure fit but if it does just glue it with pvc melt glue. It's water ready in 30 mins. It's cheap and has a high flow rate use the miter saw and it's super quick. Just my coppers worth...Steelcity
I literally just saw it in action yesterday .....big disappointment IMO....But the testimony is there to back it up ..... so...ill get pics in 2weeks when he makes it back from vacation
