I do believe RHCP were one of the first bands I ever liked that wasn't "kid" music. Guess I havent been around very long.

 

Shit girl I'm hardly any older than you and I don't really remember growing up to RHCP's ... I remember Hansen :5headache:

 

Oh I liked Hansen too....a little. It was mostly Backstreet Boys and N Sync. They really knew how to talk to a 13 year old girl's heart. lol


And Whaddya know my favorite N Sync member turned out gay.

 

My loathing for hansen goes way beyound their music....having long hair and being a white blonde boy musician, I got called "hansen" and hated it...

 

Never got into Backstreet Boys or N Sync much ... I was getting into the Will Smith shit back in the day LOL!

 

For real.....I was listening to classic rock, Sublime, Nirvana, Blind Melon, and the like....didn't really get into the boy band craze for some reason.....

 

Jay Z and MASE are two I also remember ... Nelly came into the scene around then too, the whole pop/rap scene ... I hated it. I stuck to underground shit ...


Hell man, I can't even remember back to 9-11 years old ...

 

I just went through the boyband phase for a year or two. I liked Sublime and Greenday and Ahh Big Willie Style. And TLC seemed to be around when I was getting into music, whether I liked em, I dunno. Just remember everyone singing "waterfalls". I think my friends and I hated Hanson cuz everyone else did so ya had too. But the middle one, I dunno, he was pretty cute.
