Between trying to get used parts for my motorcycle on a couple other forums I frequent, and buying other crap I don't need on Craigslist, I'm so used to immediately pouncing on things I'm looking for that it's just habit. I get beaten to the punch more often than not. :bonk:
:roffl: :roffl: Will still give him a hug :5grouphug: for being polite here's my setup, overhead schematic, if you will..... that will give you an idea of my setup, i think. what you think? ive heard not to run things through lights, keep them separate, but i didn't have much of an option, this is the best we came up with for the space we had..... GTWT :XXhippylove:
:rofl6AJ now thats the Forum Thread equivalent of the "Two-Step". Were you on "Dancing With The Stars"?ickle::bananas: Either way it goes . . . the other person gets it if and when it's not needed anymore. Let's keep it on :GK: I can't see where the ozone generator would eliminate any "drawn in" "dirty air", from seams and connections or wherever the odor is coming from. I'm terrible with "air flow" issues, but AJ is pretty proficient. Lets figure this out. I'd hate for GTWT to get this and it not be the solution to her problem. I also don't want to just say that and not resolve her odor issue, and her think I gave it to AJ because he's a Mod and we know each other. :bj: I want this unit to go to the best possible place. I'm gone camping this weekend and won't be back until Monday night. So, this won't happen until then anyway. I'll be online off and on the rest of today. Catch ya in awhile.
I dont use a carbon filter on my two outside exhausts. I put one of those laundry fabric softener bars on a stick on the end of the lights so all the sucked up air going out the exhaust has the nice smell :beerchug-2: Teamster6
I got my 8" Big Blue used for $125 at the local hydro shop. I think it was on consignment from one of their customers. That was a couple years ago and the original bulbs still work great.
ok, i just think i might have solved my problem. i went to take my 6" exhaust off of my light & run the filter straight out, & when i did, i looked inside the tube running out, & it looked like a fuckin starry night inside that POS tube! oop: that cheap shit tin-foil tubing was just completely covered in tiny little holes! i know we were careful putting everything together, i was expecting maybe a larger tear we missed, but these f-ing holes were all over, which tells me that the shit came like that, & my whole system is a starry night, so to speak. WTF. went to HD & coughed up the $ for the semi-rigid stuff, and just got done putting together the one flowering tent. sealed all joints with about 10 pounds of cargo pit tape just to make sure. keep fingers crossed, maybe i won't need your light after all, rky! to anyone about to put their shit together, DON'T BUY THAT CHEAP FLEX LINE!!!! holy shitballs, batman. splurge on the semi-rigid stuff, even though it's twice the cost! the whole inside to the flower tent (stinky tent) is totally redone (i'm half blind now & red-faced from staring at lights too long...) and i will piece by piece replace the rest as i get the $. here's what FUCKING SUX though. in the process of putting everything up, we dropped the fucking carbon filter, it landed on a back plant, and broke HALF of the plant. ARGH!!!! :angry5: i figure we lost about an ounce from that bonehead move. oh well, live and learn, right??? peace & thanks for all the support, keep fingers crossed this does the trick!!! I use this badboy, 2 bulb, with a can 66 carbon filter to make a combo and 8inch fan.........makes my rooms smell like beef gravy....odd but atleast it aint dope! http://www.uvonair.com/uv-80h.html
Those thin aluminum flexible ducts are the worst kind to use. The best is insulated ducting because it has 3 layers. When setting up a duct system you have to go over every inch of it to make sure there are no leaks that need to be taped up. Periodic inspections are a good idea too. There's nothing worse than thinking everything is cool and one day you smell skunk right outside your house and wonder if anyone else has smelled it. On the broken plant, I've learned through trial and error to move plants while working on things above or near that could fall on them.
my 6lamp, 4foot long T5 lamp dropped on my 3 girls i had flowering for about 3 days, and, WHAM!!!!....it was a one in a million thing where the chain link sortof flipped around on it's self, and undid it's self! argh!! but i fixed 'em, and the girls are fine....(and i made a cool little cable pully system, so my lights wont EVER drop again! i hope you can clone te top, or otherwise take advantage of the bad luck.
What the shit chica...no pictures? If ur hood is between ur filter and ur fan it needs to be sealed. Don't use tape it'll get icky...it is always best to vent the hood seperate. But what r ya gonna do? Id seal up ur hood with 100%silicone bathroom ssealant caulking shizzle...or high temp rtv as well as add hard fittings where ur duct needs to turn and using 6" insulated flex pulled taugt between the fittings, taped and sealed with duct sealer and lagging tape. If ur using flexible duct to turn corners the ridges on the inside create edie currents, which are like circular air currents perpendicular to the ridge...think of hundreds of rings on edge inside the duct....the actual duct diameter then becomes the inside of all the rings...in a really bad example you may start with 6" duct but when you force air through it its actually equivalent to 4" duct. 6" 30 gauge adjustable 90s are pretty cheap and so is insulated flex duct. By semirigid are you talking about the aluminum stuff? Show pics if you can of the new digs...and ur exterior terminations Happy growin'
