Thanks everybody. It was a seriously grueling 5 hour hike. It used to be quite a bit easier. I've let myself get a bit out of shape. Still up here, but will be going down soon.

Awesome place hank. I Love the scenery, but man id like to be up in a place like that with no other people. Just chill in nature and not worry about a thing. Looked like a fun time regardless.asssit:

Cheers, ya'll. This whole week is vacation for me. It's called Obon in Japanese. It's kinda like Halloween. All the spirits of the dead are supposed to come back to visit. Today was the local Obon festival. Fun for the kids. Super expensive toys and greasy food and beers. All the local people go so you run into a lot of folks. Here's a few more pics...
I just had bacon on a stick on david burkes place up in chicago...good shit Hank, for how much I give you shit I will say you have a great looking family and Japan looks like a good time, nice countryside, nice little festival...something I think I would like to see in person one day
