Toxic Mary; Rooie Marie x Toxic Berry

That's my guess. If I were cloning to put them into veg/flower ripping apart young roots would bother me to no end. I just need one or two parent plants so all I want is roots. I can wait a couple extra weeks for recovery while they mature into moms.

 

Roots are growing out of the bottoms of the pots already so they're almost ready for the first transplant. So far really really impressed. Nice vigor. Heavy stalks.

 

Plants! I got real plants. Now the work begins.

Had a run-in with mold in the veg/nursery garden. Got to my seedlings and set them back a bit. You can see the last of it on a couple leaves. Got it in time and a little H2O2 fixed things up. Not so good with the very valuable cuts I was gifted though. They got the worst of it. Poop....

 

did you pull those cuts from flowering plants?

and that sucks, i still never forget losing a bunch of strains when i went on vacation a few years back

 

Couldn't tell ya Nip. They looked to be healthy healthy cuts from a mature mom when they arrived. Thinking the stress of mold started them putting out flowers instead of roots which really pissed me off.

 

TM is doing great. They're the seedlings in the above post.

 

Bad Resin, bad! Not updating. .

Here's where I'm at. Got a light full of grown Toxic Marie seedlings. The tops have been cut and are in a clone dome waiting roots. Once they're rooted it's straight into 12/12 lighting and sexing the plants. First round of culling should be in a few weeks. Second round comes at harvest time when I get to sample some toke. Hopefully there'll be a mom or two in bunch.

Here's the Toxic Marie plants awaiting decision. Not much to see. All are incredibly vigorous and showing little phenotype variation. Not gonna bore you with individual pics.



These are the tops doing their thing. Waiting waiting....hate this part.



Here's what's next up for a project. I wanna find my old Lemon Thai pheno. These were some seeds I'd forgotten about until a recent GK thread reminded me.





And a shot of some overgrown mom's in need of serious attention.

Early flower. Culled two males and kept one as a possible parent because it flowered so fast. About two or three weeks into flower now. Gonna be offline for a week coming up but will put in an update once I get new interweb.

Got too many projects and been getting behind too. Searching through the LT for a good parent and a couple new strains I'm trying to work into rotation. Cherry AK47 cut and a nice cut of indica leaning LemonBerry to replace my sativa dom pheno. (Thanks guys!) Being a one man show it's easy to get sidetracked.

 

Lost my camera cord moving and finally found it so here's what is probably the final update.

Bad day on the farm a couple weeks ago. Of the 4 remaining females 3 went horribly herm and have been culled. The last female is a long legged slow flowering green sativa dominant pheno. She's stable, but I'm not looking for a hard to manage sativa with questionable bud development. So barring a miracle, the Toxic Marie project is dead. I'm going to cross out the male I kept and the female, but hopes are low and not too interested in running dozens of seeds looking for a winner when Rooie Marie strains and crosses keep giving me herms. It's the reason I quit working with Rooie Marie the first time through. I loved the toke, the plant coloration is beautiful, crystally as all hell..but herms. Fuckin' herms.

Here's the pics. When they started popping balls I put them in an unheated garden to separate them from the rest of my gardens while watching how bad it would get and they got pretty beat up. Had lost interest after that...it shows.

They had a good hight and color, even thou it was not major buds, atleast you got some good little/med ones To toke on, so not a total bust.

 

No toking those, straight to compost. Gotta say I was disappointed after seeing the two dark purple pheno. Guess that means there's more room to work in those cherry AK47 cuts now though. One project falls....means there's more room for those waiting.
