that is exactly what i was thinking the other day gg.i hope all those ancient prophecies and calendars and such are wrong,but just in case i'm getting a life raft to put in my hall closet right next to the ammo & canned goods,damn stuff will probably sink me though.

 

First off, I saw an infomercial about 2012... They were selling a book about it. So why sell the book if all that shit is going to happen? will do no good then. That shows the people cramming it down everyone's throat don't believe it.


Hope you get hooked up on the job thing, Herb. I was in construction and about a year ago I couldn't take the lay offs and crappy unemployment, since have moved to the maintenance field and there is for sure job security there with the housing market so shitty. Good luck.

People I work with, will vote for whoever will spend more on national defense, but they TELL you its for defense, but it goes in the pockets of politicians from both sides,((((((((MONEY LAUNDERING))))))) while THEY keep scraping the DoD out like a slumlord evicts a tennant.

...Most tell me all that thinkin' outside the box is actually just proof that I should get a real job...becuz' they claim that it is apparent that if I have enuf time to come up with the imagery I do...that I must obviously have too much time on my hands...perhaps they are right...however, I believe that there is sumthin' we can all do...and at first it may seem as if we are whistling in the wind...but with time I believe we can create the world we are imagining...


...Ever heard of movements...no not bowel...you know like peace marchs...kinda the MLK kinda scenario...civil disobediance...or better yet a callin' out of the powers that be for accountability...where is the outrage...better yet...where is the action behind the words...I think that if enough of us were willing to forego all the material trappings of this thing we call life...and get down to a more back-to-basics approach...we could turn the tables on this doom n' gloom tide...

Just look at the people who laid there, and let Katrina roll them over they didn't listen before, during, or after the event, then just sat there waiting for divine intervention. I'm NOT saying they deserved their misfourtune, so don't start that crap with me, but it is, what it is.

...I was viewin' the boob tube as I prepared my dinner last nite...for the record dinner was outstanding...baked Yukon Gold potatoes with my special preparation of olive oil sauteed garlic n' onions, steam'd broccoli n' cauliflower and some diced tomatillos from my garden last year...after I steam'd the veggies I melt'd in some butter...I pour'd this over the well baked potatoes and add'd a few dollops of Daisy sour cream and then a proper dosing of tabasco sauce...yum, but I digress...back to the game...


...I realized as my potatoes were baking that a fundraiser was taking place on the educational channel...PBS (Public Broadcasting System)...and it was some 60' and 70's music program that was intertwining history with the music of that era...anyways...some artist...I can't remember his name...but he was singin' this song I recognized that had lyrics that in the chorus said..."I don't think were standing on the brink of destruction.."...one thing I'll say is this guy's projection with his voice and the urgency that seem'd ingrain'd in it were mesmerizing...I thought to myself...I ain't the only player of this game call'd life that has call'd foul to the powers that be over accountability and the fear they distribute with their weapons of mass destruction...i.e. nukes...


...Then it hit me...I have and never will be alone...there are more like-mind'd folks of my fabric then I can shake a stick at...the key now is findin' them...and bringin' this back to a more sensible approach...I think Americans are finally gettin' it...I mean with examples like this:
