Well I'm going to do a miracle-grow soil grow. I took my clones out of my black gold soil that was loaded with bugs and put them in miracle-grow about three weeks ago I'll post pictures soon. I'm going to start flowering in a week or soon as my other plant get harvested. I've had good results with mirale-grow before because hard to find good soil in stores in after summer.
You're giving up on Black Gold for MiracleGro? WOW. :confused4: :confused5: :eusa_think: :new_shocked:
What is your black gold soil infested with? Whatever it is, I'm sure there is a way to remedy it. If you really can't fix the infestation, I'd use something other than the MG soil. No joke man. Do you think we all knock MG because we have some kind of vendetta towards the company or something? We're telling you it's the worst soil that you can buy for growing MJ! The W-O-R-S-T!! Find some other brand. I'm sure you have a Wal-Mart near you, go there and try something that they have, OTHER THAN MG SOIL. You'd be better off with plain old top soil with a bunch of perlite and peat moss mixed in. Your soil is one of the greatest factors in the ease and quality of your grow. Poor soil like the MG soil is just going to give you problems that you cannot remedy because of the slow release ferts they use. Here's the thing, and pay close attention here. It's not rocket science, it's just simple facts. MJ needs a good amount of Nitrogen for vegging, and miracle grow soil can give that, but when MJ is flowering, it needs considerably less nitrogen. The problem with miracle grow soil is that it has the slow release ferts which take many months to dissipate. When a flowering MJ plant has too much nitrogen, 1. you'll burn the plants, 2. the plant has so much nitrogen being pumped in that it continues to grow stalks and leaves when it should be concentrating on growing buds. So what you'll wind up with is very leafy buds. Who wants their buds to be leafy? NOBODY. Why? It's harsher, less tasty smoke that's less potent and will give you a headache. Isn't that enough reason not to use MG soil? Probably not, so as Project-X said, live and learn. After your first grow is over and done with, try switching to a better soil for your second grow and you'll see exactly what we mean. You'll realize that you fucked up and hopefully won't use that crap-ass soil again. Or maybe you're the kind of guy who has to do stuff his own way. Has to be the different one and prove everyone wrong. You won't. Period. Good luck...
I'll post aa pic right now. This little runt is named Wilbur grown in miracle grow from seed. I started with the MG because it was all I had. I said what everybody without the experience says "How bad could it be." I saved another female plant from the MG experience by transplanting into a generic potting soil after the MG started burning it out. The soil came in a plain white bag that literally just said potting soil across the top added perlite and super humusand the plant recovered and is doing nicely. I let Wilbur hang on in the MG and it never grew as well. Now fully matured and 5 weeks into flowering look at the thin stem and puny budsites. Oh yeah and it still shows a little nuteburn on the leaves. /monthly_2006_11/Pic410.JPG.36b05fb3935c032365755824c1dd2ca4.JPG

Miracle Grow=dead Mj Plants Try not to go against the grain my friend..... i know SKUNKY can sometimes go into great detail that goes over my head(your right skunky i DO check out some of your posts data on encyclopedias,i KNOW you know your botany for sure)but come on.... he broke that down for you there into laymens terms dude..he just EXPLAINED why its bad and you gonna ignore his and every other members advice?Whats the matter with you my friend? It wasnt the soil that caused your infestation,it could have been f GNATS(google it)that lay eggs and i mean hundreds of eggs! They(babies)look like little white worms almost miniscule to the eye and only surface during feeding,i had this problem and repotted and flushed to get rid of it but dont ,plz, dont use MG soil or ANY other MG products, they bad,why would you deliberatlety put some potential killa skunk plants in that poison after experienced dudes in botany like skunky and duffman aswell as the highly experienced T.O.A. have blatantly told you why not to and what it will do? Go back and look at budgreenrights post and skunkys....these guys are taking time to help and advise you with their pearls of wisdom.Ignore it at your own peril my friend but in a month or two you gonna be comin' onto this SAME forum asking WHY your leaves are turning different colours or why your plant loks as if its DYING!!! No disrespect intended by this post my friend,im just a bit astonished that you are coming onto ask for solid advice and you get exactly the answers you asked for but are choosing to ignore them. Its not just MG,their are other products like bio-tabs which you put in the soil to feed your plant but as skunky said when you go to flush your plant these tabs aint broke up yet so they gonna over feed and damage your plants.Plz take the advice you been given cos EVERYONE on here knows how deadly MG products can be to your plants.... it should be printed in big bold letters at the top of the forum..."MIRACLE GROW=DEAD PLANTS"
