Five days into the flush, four more to go. Also replaced the blown light, got a whole new setup with digital, variable voltage ballast
Nothing like a 4 hour power outage two hours before lights on. And don't ever buy a "recycle timer" power comes back on and this fucking thing starts at on cycle, regardless of reality.
I didnt have that much luck with consistency with blumats, i could have just been to afraid of them being kept to wet though.
Fine-tuning them takes a little time, but they work great once you dial them in. I suggested them because my plants always got the right amount of water when I used them properly. Watering wasn't a guessing game anymore.
Always used the 'heft' method myself. Feel the weight of the pot when wet and then feel it when dry. I also remind myself that MJ plants would rather the soil be a bit on the dry side as opposed to the wetter side. The plants will droop when they are getting thirsty. That's the best time to water them. They perk up pretty quick and no worries about over-watering. I like to leave my pots in some sort of water catcher too and allow the soil to absorb what runs through. When the soil has absorbed all it can, I give the container a good few shakes to remove any excess water and then it's good to go.
