Yeah, that plant got all messed up a while back ago. This isn't a plant that recovers too well, once the initial shock began. If I can't get clones, I'll have to trash the strain anyways. I know you can clone in flower, but I have never been able to get a clone with buds on it to reveg. I'll have to try what a few other people on here have done, and re-veg the lower portion of the plant, after harvest.
First Harvest of ReCon! Wow!I am still waiting on the Querkle to dry up, before posting some bud pics. I did decide to harvest the ReCon today, though. Here' a shot of this crystally as a mofo plant! Thanks for your vote of confidence! I know looks can be deceiving, so we shall see! I can't grow for shit yet, so I'll probably be looking at that picture a year from now, and be laughing! In other news, the Blueberry Trainwreck looks happy having it's own corner in my flower area. I'm hoping having a direct air current flowing towards it should help with residual heat that may be occuring. 71-75 is the temp range for the area that the plant is sitting in. Those pictures were from a few weeks ago, and the foxtailing has started to correct itself. The plant looks like it has one to two more weeks left, which I find amusing. This plant was put in twenty days before the ReCon and the Querkle, which I have harvested over the past couple days. That bitch is finicky! Learning to grow her right, will be a task indeed! Here's one of the Querkle before I trimmed it. The trimmed buds are drying now. It will light in a bowl now, so maybe 2 days left. Every time I see you in a picture, I get scared. Maybe your plants are just scared too. Back to the BB/TW, I'm not sure of the influence of the Blueberry, but shouldn't Trainwreck go 10-11 weeks anyways? Also, if they got REAL stressed out, that can set them back also as they were trying to get themselves "fixed." When I did some LA, it was a 7-8 weeker. I'm interested in the Querkle, since I have some seeds "just waiting". How many weeks did that go? edit: I know I've asked this before, but....
ReCon and Querkle were both harvested at middle of week 8. They could have gone longer, but I need to get some people money. weeks is the longest I would grow either of those two strains. When looking up the description for BBxTW, 58 days of 12/12 was supposed to be about right. This plant has gone almost 10 weeks now, with how far it got held back from the inspection. It is looking a lot better than it was, but it's staying in the tent until it's 5-10% amber. I'll get the exact amount of days on it. Most of the strains I have can be fit on a 60 day schedule. That means, that every 20 days, something new should be going into flower. My plants see my face, so they aren't scared! The Gorilla mask is for keeping things somewhat anonymous...
Yeh, I'd try reveging the bottom of the plant. I've cloned buds before, and have some going right now, and it's a mother. I started out with 30 clones of kf (they were in veg) and they all died. About 2 and a half weeks ago I took 30 more clones off of my budded bublegum kf and only one of them has rooted, I also took five cheese quake clones that were in full on bud mode, three of those have rooted. I am starting to think that kf is a bitch to clone because I had no success with it the last time I tried either. I even gave some budded kf clones to someone that really knows their stuff and he hasn't been able to get roots on them either, at least not yet. EDIT Check my grow thread, I am putting up some pics of the current budded clones I am doing.
Thank you for this advice. I can't take that many clones. I'm kinda sketched about going over my 15 plant limit. Especially in an apartment... The reveg is going to have to be the option. I have been dropping clones in soil, and they do just fine. The budded ones do not share this philosophy. I know getting clones off a vegged plant is a lot easier. I've had 90% success so far from veg clones. 80% for 2 weeks into flower. That Blueberry always rooted, though (as long as it was a good sized clone). I'll be increasing my limit to 30, once I get a house and my wife gets her medical card. This should help me get into the poundage, too. Hooray! That's like 2-3 months from now, though. Fifteen plants will have to be my number until then.
On getting budded plants to clone.... I've been doing this recently and have had 100% success.(about 15 clones and even some that were a present). I use a 3 gallon homemade cloner. They've been rooting about 5 days sooner than my regular clones are. I've even thought about just cloning budded plants.lol. Maybe it's time you guys get a new cloning method.
I hope this is the right one:http://forum.growkind.com/showthread.php?t=41642 Yeah, this is it. Easy, peasy. Simple and works at almost 100%, let's say 99.8%. It'll save you time and worry.
Revegging is easy. Just make sure to leave as much leaf as you can, even if it cost you some bud. Just water and put back under 24 light and wait. This is my Chemdog that I revegged, The pic is a few week old. She looks much better now and has lots of new growth. I will be takeing clone off her shortly. Peace....
Thanks so much guys! I am 90% certain that I am going to have to do this, Dir. The bottom got pretty wrecked, so hopefully I won't lose too much bud. I'm glad to see proof that my problem can be solved. LV, That cloner looks sick! I may have to make one of those when I get into a house. You'd get rep, if I could give it! I've been jokingly telling my wife, "Now that Chaz is gone, I can finally get some advice!" I appreciate all the tips from you guys!
:laughing4: :laughing7: :laughing7: :laughing4: You could have always asked and we still would have answered, well maybe, if we weren't so involved in trying to get him to LISTEN!
The view count explains it all. Lol. It's all good. I would hope you guys would tell me if I was fucking things up, like him.The Querkle is dry, trimmed, and weighed (Not bad for a single plant that could have gone a couple more weeks): View attachment 17442 View attachment 17443 View attachment 17444 /monthly_2013_01/DSCN0167.JPG.0a878429baa6c0792070dc97e915c85b.JPG /monthly_2013_01/DSCN0166.jpg.d186832f1f8fd9094993adea261e4a15.jpg /monthly_2013_01/DSCN0158.JPG.30db97481aba0c1ae1ea7f4ae225b30d.JPG
The flowering pics! Here are the flowering pics for this week. The only one looking haggard, is the Blueberry Trainwreck. It's getting heavy so it has an excuse. Here are the ladies, that are now receiving full strength nutes once a week. Every third watering, is how I have had to do it.Blueberry Trainwreck with 7-10 days left (Don't worry, the powerstrip is hung on the wall.
